Faculty of Chemical and Food Technology was established under Decision No. 38/QD DHSPKT-TCCB/21-01-2007, on 21st January, 2007 by Rector of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education, in order to perform engineering training responsibilities in three disciplines: Food Technology, Environmental Engineering Technology and Chemical Engineering Technology.

Total number of
students currently enrolled in Faculty is about 700 students. Since its
inception, Faculty has trained over 1,000 engineers in all three majors.
Staff members
of Faculty consists of 43 official lecturers,
including 06 Associate Professors, 33 PhDs, 07 Masters and 03 Engineers.
Faculty’s human resource structure is gradually growing both in quantity and quality. Under the direction of the
university in order to improve the quality of teaching staff, Faculty members
also participate intensely in training courses on teaching innovation, diversification
of assessment methods, English language proficiency and professional competences. Faculty of Chemical and Food Technology is proudly said to possess a teaching
staff with good qualifications, dynamic and enthusiastic in teaching and conducting scientific
research.
