General meaning of educational philosophy in HCMUTE

All students, lecturers, administrators, and other stakeholders of the HCMUTE community get involved together in educating, inspiring and supporting students to become competent, conscientious and responsible individuals; to bear in students' mind the importance of soft and other critical skills to be global citizens and to be entrepreneurs.

HCMUTE strongly believes that the learning progress is indeed effective and meaningful when every individual has an opportunity for a full development of cognitive competence, social behaviors and technical knowledge. HCMUTE also believes in the core values of lifelong learning, that is, learners need to self-construct and enrich the knowledge and skills for improving their creativeness, which allows them to achieve their own aspirations and to serve the community.

The study programs in HCMUTE are oriented by the theoretical and experimental guidelines and closely connected to the linkages between the university and industrial zones. In addition, HCMUTE commits to create an innovative educational environment and, even, move beyond standards, based on the deep learning through integrating advanced technologies and applying new teaching methods, e.g. project-based-learning, situated learning, capstone projects, and competence-based-assessment in the whole teaching process, to meet the various demands of learners and the diverse changes of the society effectively. 

HCMUTE does not only provide students with an excellent educational background, but also encourages students’ creativity and assists them in realizing their ideas through practice.

The Faculty of Chemical and Food Technology aims to become a leading center for education, research, innovation and entrepreneurship in Vietnam, which can be on par with other famous regional and international centers in the fields of Chemical – Food – Environmental Technology.

Mission

The mission of the Faculty of Chemical and Food Technology is to provide training, research, technology transfer and community outreach, be continuously innovative and creative to offer high quality human resources and scientific-technological products in the fields of Chemical – Food – Environmental Technology to meet the demands of socio-economic development.
