On Feb-2nd-2017, at Hall of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education took place ceremony awarding scholarship and sponsoring research with Heineken Viet Nam Brewery donor
This award belongs to a program called “Towards Water Security” of Heineken Viet Nam Brewery LLC. The program is being conducted over a five-year period from 2012 to 2017 with total funding of 7.7 billion VND. By offering scholarships to university students whose majors are Environmental Science and Environmental Economics, the company want to contribute to environmental protection. Besides, this award also sponsors young scientists who conduct small-scale scientific researchs on the water environment.(Details of the program "Towards Water Security")
Our Faculty of Chemical and Food Technology is proud to have eight students, majoring in Environmental Engineering Technology and achieving excellent study results, to receive the scholarships that worth 15 million VND/ person/ year. Among these students Le Thanh An (fourth-year student, majoring in environmental engineering technology) is the author of the scientific project “ Developing ahouseholdwater treatment equipment using photocatalytic material under solar light” that is selected as one of four excellent proposals receiving a sponsor of 120 million VND
The program “Towards Water Security” is especially helpful for students and young scientists in providing good conditions to study and research the technologies and solutions to protect water resources. This program is truly a great contribution to society, and we sincerely thank Heineken Viet Nam Brewery LLC for that.
