The Holcim Prize 2016 is a science playground for students to present innovative ideas that can be applied in practice to meet the pressing needs of the community, aiming for a sustainable future around 3 Fields: Community Development, Environmental Protection and Sustainable Construction with scholarships of up to 700 million VND. This competition has attracted hundreds of students from nine leading universities in Vietnam: Da Nang University of Technology, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education. Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, Ho Chi Minh City University of Architecture, Hanoi University of Architecture, Can Tho University, Ho Chi Minh University of Social Sciences and Humanities HCMC University of Natural Resources and Environment and Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology. Holcim Prize not only encourages students' creative ideas but also offers the opportunity to turn those ideas into reality through the application support section for the most feasible project. This is also a good opportunity for students to apply the theory learned in the school into practice.
